This is a picture of Santa Monica Beach taken from the Santa Monica Pier. Isn't it gorgeous?
My mother was in town for my graduation so I took her around town a little bit. This picture was actually taken on Friday, but she arrived on Thursday. I stayed at the hotel so I didn't have to travel back and forth between her hotel and my apartment. I had twice as much luggage than she did, even though she brought all kinds of stuff for me from Japan. （日本のお土産といっても、うちにあったものも持ってきてくれたのですが、なんとすりごまなんてものも持ってきていました。さすが、おかあちゃん・・・）
Santa Monica is one of my favorite places in Los Angeles. The air is clean, the people are nice, and it's beautiful. If only I could afford to live there.... :(
