Battling Spam

I signed up for my new e-mail several months ago. I had no spam for a while and I was very happy with it, but all of a sudden, they started coming again. How do they find me??? I don't remember signing up for anything online, but I must have...Gmail has a button that says "report spam" so I just click on that to get rid of them, but I'm getting tired of it. I don't want to sign up for another email account and go through the hassle of telling everyone. Grr!
