That's how long I've been here in the US of A.
I arrived in Chicago with my family on this day 18 years ago.
Time really flies...it doesn't feel like it's been that long.
I wonder how I would have turned out if I never came to this country.
I guess I'll never know, but I don't think I would have liked it.

Same here, I think moving to a different country especially US, we pretty much lucked out. Well, thanks to the hard work of my parents, but as immigrants of this big melting pot of a country, we see the good and the bad, what is possible and also some of the glass ceilings. I am especially thankful of my parents when I go back to my native country and saw what my life would've been like.
